A GOOD PAIR OF CHIPPENDALE STYLE MAHOGANY CHINA CABINETS
American, 20th Century
The broken pediments with dentil molding and open fretwork flank a flaming urn finial, supported by a dentil cornice and gothic arched pendant molding above a pair of locking glass doors inset with individual glass panes set into mahogany gothic mullions supported by a metal framework from behind. The upper cabinet is fitted with adjustable shelves and mahogany veneered back. The lower cabinet houses four locking doors with swan neck bale handles and beaded edge. The drawers are supported by a pair of locking doors with carved shell brackets and molded trim, all raised on plinth bases.
Condition: Superb overall. Includes keys. Some minor wear on plinth on one cabinet.
