A REGENCE STYLE PARCEL GILT AND LAPIS TOP SALON TABLE
20th Century
The lapis tile inset top features a square pietra dura inset of lapis, Mother of Pearl, agate and turquoise stones. All gilded, relief carved border of bows and floral scrolls. The moulded and gilded apron is supported by bold parcel gilt cabriole legs terminating in raised foliate style scroll feet and stabilized by a parcel gilt, relief carved, symmetrical, and undulating stretcher featuring a carved rosette and splayed floral garlands.
Condition: chipping to gilded edges and apron. Stable frame.
