A COMPANION PAIR OF CARVED BONE TUSKS ON STANDS
China, 20th Century
The curled tusk forms are veneered with carved bone; one with the motif of a pair of dueling dragons in the turbulent sky and the other featuring carved scholars and maidens in outdoor scenes. Pigment in the carved areas. Both are singularly stamped.
Condition: Minor losses and repairs. Overall very good condition. Stands are solid.
27 x 23 x 4½ inches (68.6 x 58.4 x 11.4 cm).
