A BOLD LOUIS XV STYLE ROSEWOOD MARQUETRY COMMODE WITH BRONZE MOUNTS
20th Century
The shaped and stepped white veined rouge marble top is supported by a conforming undulating body adorned with floral marquetry, diaper pattern parquetry and gilt bronze ormolu that graces both drawers yet create a single composition. The engaged cabriole legs feature bold acanthus gilt bronze mounts and paw form sabots.
Condition: small veneer crack on upper right corner. All ormolu accounted for. Overall very good condition.
