A PAIR OF ITALIAN PARCEL GILT ARMCHAIRS
19th Century
A gilt wood carved shell surmounts the crest of the parcel gilt and greige painted oval back with carved acanthus forms on the border and supports. The curved arms with arm pads and gilt scroll handles are supported by C-form supports above crescent apron with parcel gilt beaded detail and raised on baluster form fluted legs with toupe foot.
Condition: Upholstery fair. Rub though to bole at handles. Restorations to finish.
