A REGENCE STYLE COMMODE WITH BRONZE MOUNTS AND INSET MARBLE TOP
Early 20th Century
The beige marble with rouge and white veins is inset into a Rosewood serpentine top with bronze edge. The top is supported by a conforming rosewood body with two drawers featuring cast bronze foliate frames and mahogany reserves with symmetrical foliate handles and chamfered edges. The side panels feature the same shaped bronze frame and mahogany reserve. All supported and stabilized by bronze mounted cabriole legs with sabots and a flaring shaped apron.
Condition: Minor veneer chips on body where it meets drawers. Dovetail joinery on drawers.
