Pair of porcelain foliate decorated urns. Chinese, 19th century. Fitted as table lamps. Height 12", width 9". Provenance: From The Estate of Esther Gordy Edwards, Detroit, Michigan. Edwards was the founder and President of the Motown Historical Museum, Hitsville, U.S.A., and served as the CEO and Vice President of Detroit’s Motown Records in the mid-1960’s. Her brother was famed producer and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy.
The finish on the brass mounts is worn.
