Description

R. Whiting, Winchester, Connecticut Federal Tiger Maple and Cherry Tall Case Clock, circa. 1810-1820. Broken arch pediment, turned column supports, cove molded waist with banded inlaid arched top pendulum door flanked by reeded corner columns and plank base with bracket feet. Wooden works, 30 hour movement, illuminated dial signed "R. WHITING, WINCHESTER" with polychrome floral, foliate and gilt painted dial with central two and a half story house with west wing and second dial. 91"h.

Condition

Very good overall with minor wear, missing finials.
