Northern New Jersey Type Elaborately Inlaid Mahogany Federal Style Tall Case Clock. Labeled "From the shop of L. W. Crossan, Lyndell, PA and dated 1997. Broken arch pediment two, brass finials, 22 star and checkered line inlay on hood with vertical line inlaid column supports with brass capped terminals. Cove molded waist with shaped pendulum door having oval burlwood panel and checkered line inlay flanked by vertical line inlaid quarter columns, burlwood paneled and checkered line inlaid base with French bracket feet. Antique eight day brass works and Roman numeral brass dial signed "JAMES CUMMINGS, FALMOUTH", having floral and foliate engravings with angel and four seasons spandrels, rocking clipper ship in arch, date and second dials. 92 3/4"h.
Case is excellent, missing central finial. Copper rivet break repair on brass dial at letter "J" on the word James.
