Pattern 1777 Charleville Flintlock Musket War of 1812 Dated
.69 cal., 44.5" round barrel with No1777 stamped into the tang. Bayonet lug 1" from the muzzle, left side of barrel marked 1814. Lockplate marked M with small RE and IMP and small Le; underneath marked De Versalille. Finger-grooved triggerguard. Walnut stock with concave cheek piece.
All metal has been cleaned but still has grey look with very sharp and crisp lines and makings. Stock has been cleaned with a dark look and some nicks and dings. Very nice example of a 1777.
