Civil War ID'd Model 1840 Artillery Sword with Scabbard

This sword David Heckathom has a 32" blade and single brass D-guard, leather wrap missing most of its wire. Sword is also accompanied by a tintype photo of the soldier holding sword and his pension record. Heckathom served with the 1st. Penn. Artillery.
