MALVINA CORNELL HOFFMAN (AMERICAN 1887-1966), “Group of six Bacchanale Frieze Panels”, 1911-1914, plaster, silver and bronze polychroming, each approximately 114 x 104 cm. (45 x 41 in.) PLEASE NOTE: Due to their weight and fragility, these pieces are sold in "as-is" condition. Some condition issues such as cracks or chips to the plaster may NOT be apparent in the photographs on the website. Malvina Hoffman was inspired to create these panels after watching a performance by Pavlova and Mordkin in London. After her return to Paris, Hoffman convinced her mentor to allow her to work on the series, rather than focusing on the more ordinary portrait comisisons.
