Description

Unusual shape! From ancient Greece, area around Corinth, ca. 6th century BC. Spool-shaped terracotta oil vessel with small knobbed base and flattened rim - all decorated in concentric circles and ray patterns. 2-1/2"H.

Provenance: Ex-private Texas collection and found in Naxos, Sicily in the 1970's.
