Israel, Ca 900 to 600 BC, rare medium-sized amphora used to hold oils or wine, decorated in a style reminiscent of potteries made in Cyprus at the time - and possibly exported from there. Decorated with thin slip and painted in geometric pattern. Measures 10-3/4"H.
Provenance: Ex-Harvey Sarner Collection, Palm Springs, CA acquired in Israel in 1983.
