A Roman Bronze Fountain Spout, Antelope Form
Very rare! Southern / Eastern Roman Empire, ca 2nd century AD. Bronze spout from a fountain or kitchen in the form of an antelope head. This type of animal is not from Europe and could either be from EurAsia or more likely northern Africa. Large curved horns and very elongated neck. 3-1/4"L. Custom stand.
