Description

Pre-Columbian, western Mexico, ca 300 BC. Impressive pottery bowl decorated in bi-chrome pigment with three rattle-filled legs. Bowls such as this must have had a very important ceremonial significance. 14" across x 7"H. Rare to find this large!

Provenance: Ex-private Santa Fe, NM collection.

This lot will be sold not subject to a reserve. The starting price is the price at which the item can sell.

Condition

Save one small section of rim with restored chip, two legs reattached, else quite excellent.
