Description

Peru, Ca. 300 AD. Terracotta, double-bodied, bridge-spouted vessel with forward chamber depicting a man wearing a crown. Painted red-brown with overall black negative resist geometric decoration. 7-3/8"H. x 9-1/4"L.

Provenance: Ex- Sotheby's (with old lot number 174 tag attached Ex Maryland Collection).

Condition

Head reattached and vessel repaired from a few large pieces, some small areas of restoration.
