A Taino Stone Ceremonial Yoke
Rare!! Taino culture, found in Puerto Rico, Ca 800 to 1200 AD. Stone implement used as a ceremonial implement / trophy during one of the very famous ballgames that occurred throughout muchh of the northern Pre-Columbian world, or as just suggested to us by an interested collector, perhaps used in a fertility / moon ceremonies. Oblong stone with carved head of a reptilian in deep relief. 9"L x 6-1/2"W x 2-1/8"D.
