Monumental Majolica Dragon Vase. The vase has a classic baluster form with an elongated neck; a cobalt background with dragon sprawling up one side having an olive green body with heavy scales, webbed feet and a tail wrapping around the base, the dragon’s mouth is open and facing upward exposing teeth with a serpent-like tongue and a fireball. The background is embellished with golden stars and clouds with swirling red, green and yellow tones. In very good condition with no chip, cracks or repairs. 25 in. high.
