John Steele (1921-1998) O/C Goddess of Wealth. One of the Hopi deities, Huru-ing Wu-uti, is the Goddess of Touquoise, shell ornaments and in general, wealth. At night she is believed to be a beautiful young woman and wife of Tawa, the sun, and in the daytime she is thought of as an ugly woman. She is believed to be a gentle and kind soul who never mingles with the Hopi people. She lives in a kiva in the Pacific Ocean.
