Oil on canvase, 32" x 24".rnGeza Peske, a renowned Hungarian genre painter, was born in 1859 in Kelecseny, Hungary. The artist studied at the Munich Art Academy in the studio of G. Benczur and L. von Loefftz. Peske's children scenes brought him international acclaim and his works had been often reproduced in German and English illustrated magazines. Works by Gesa Peske are exhibited at the National Gallery in Budapest.
