Description

This is an intricately carved, Chinese Jade sculpture.  The sculpture features a Phoenix perched atop a plum tree along with two other common birds at the base.  While the Dragon is often associated with the Emperor in Chinese culture, it is the Phoenix, the king of all birds, that is the symbol associated with the Empress.  The plum tree, fruit, and blossom are the symbols of royalty, nobility, and good luck.  This finely carved and beautifully detailed piece does not have any visible issues, and is virtually perfect.  It sits in a recessed, hand carved wooden base, and comes in a cushioned box.  The piece measures approximately 9"x 7" x 3".
