This is a family Archive that dates primarily to the early through late 19th Century, having a some mid to late 18th Century pieces. Consisting of hundreds of handwritten documents with a great and interesting variety of subjects: Real Estate Transactions and deeds, personal letters about prayer and church, Church Sermons, Postal Records, a Letter dated 1794 About a General Parson's Estate, various Wills and Taxes, Postmaster General Signatures and documents, newspaper clippings, genealogy information, Vellum Documents, Diplomas, a very nice selection of Rewards of Merit and Approbation dating to the mid 19th C. Photos: about 30 Cased Images (portraits) including Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes and tintypes which range in condition from excellent to poor, an Album of about 35 CDV Portraits with many people identified, a few albumen photos of identified and unidentified people in good condition. a book in good condition titled: "Saybrook at the mouth of the Connecticut River" Gilman C. Gates 1935, and an old family bible. Viewing this lot in person is highly recommended.
