Description

Heavy silk Japanese "meatball" flag measuring 27 by 34 inches. Leather corner tabs and hoist cords are intact and signed. Flag is signed with some Korean and some Japanese and is marked in English in faded ink "IWO JIMA / March 29- 1945" (no provenance). Very good condition with some staining throughout and heavy folds, plus a few very small holes.
