ADLAMS' NO. 0 STRING-WICK LIP BURNER, thumbwheel marked "ADLAMS. PATENT MARCH 24 1863." and with wing symbol, period lip chimney, opaque white shade with polychrome leaf decoration. Fitted on a green Berkshire Variant finger lamp, applied handle, No. 1 fine line collar. Third quarter 19th century. Lamp 2 5/8" H to top of collar, 3" D base.

Burner and shade undamaged, expected wear to decoration, chimney fitter with some minor roughness. Lamp body with a crack to lower terminal, collar with some light splits.
