MONITOR TYPE LIP BURNER, thumbwheel marked "PATENT APPLIED FOR", round wick, non-period lip chimney. Fitted on a colorless unpatterned finger lamp with embossed rayed base, applied handle, No. 1 brass collar. Third quarter 19th century. Lamp 2 1/4" H to top of collar, 2 1/2" D base.
