MIXED METALS VASE LAMP, font holder embossed with entwining floral decoration and with copper finish, raised on a cast iron circular base with three toes and brass finish, brass drop-in font, No. 2 brass collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a Bridgeport Brass Co. "Leader" lip burner, thumbwheel marked "BRIDGEPORT BRASS CO / LEADER NO. 2", and under base "PAT'D JUNE 1 69 / SEPT. 18.77" / NOV.18.79 APR.6.80", 5 1/8" shade ring, together by association, appropriate mold-blown chimney, and an intricately deep acid-etched cylindrical-form colorless shade with two smiling face moons above a partial sun with rays, butterflies, stars, owl, and comets. Third quarter 19th century. 18 1/8" H to top of shade, 10" H to top of collar, 5 5/8" DOA base. Shade 6 5/8" H, 5" D fitter.

Excellent condition with minor expected wear, font and collar with some minute denting, wear to finishes. Shade ring soldered to burner, chimney rims with normal mold roughness, as made, shade undamaged except for a minute fitter flake to underside.
