EIGHT-PANEL SHEET IRON LAMPS, LOT OF TWO, comprising a petticoat-form example with green paint and a saucer-base example, each with strap handle. Fitted with a copper and pewter double-tube whale oil burner and other with a brass and copper fluid burner. Mid 19th century. 6 1/4" H to top of collar, 3 7/8" D base and 8 1/2" H to top of collar, 5 1/4" D base.
Provenance: Property of a New Jersey collector.
Very good condition with minor denting and rust, moderate wear to paint, saucer-base example with some minor repairs. Burners with corrosion and a separation to fluid example.
