Prehistoric Mimbres Incised Stone Paint Palette. This paint palette is charming as it has incising on the sides and along the rim of the palettle. The long sides on top has lightening bolt markings and the sides have squares with dots and squares with no dots on the top portion. The sides have been divided with two decorative portions, plain squares and half diamond designs on the ends and squares & no etching on the length sides. Very unusual patterns. Palette is in as found condition, lots of wear, and has been glued. Measures approx. 4 1/8'' x 2 1/2''. Acquired in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
