French. An octagonal-shaped faience inkwell on four feet with two handles, having a painted floral decoration on white ground, the brass top with various apertures and two covered inkwells, unmarked; ht. 4 in., lg. 7.5 in.
Provenance: Purchased from Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York, New York, June, 6, 1946, lot no. 297.
Overall wear and slight patination to brass top. Missing one glass ink bottle.
