Chinese. An assembled pair of porcelain vases each fitted as a lamp, one with heightened gilt floral motifs, both on a blue ground and on gilt wooden stands; ht. 28.75 in.
Provenance: Property of Cincinnati Museum Center from the Lewis Cotlow Collection, Cincinnati, OH, sold to benefit the collections.
Gilt Vase Purchased at Parke-Bernet, New York, NY, 1938.
Wear to gilding. Several very small chips to glaze on each vase. Socket is loose on vase with gilt floral motifs. Wear and loss to gilding on the wooden stands. Crack and loss to wooden stand.
