PIERCED BRASS AND COPPER WHALE OIL LANTERN, conical form with large ring handle, red/ruby globe with wire guard, removable base with bayonet mechanism and fitted with brass font. Fitted with a brass and tin double-tube burner. Third quarter 19th century. 18" HOA, 12 1/2" H to top of cap, 5 7/8" D base.
Provenance: The Phillip M. Sullivan estate collection.
Very good condition with minor cap and wire guard denting, base with moderate denting and some separations, font with some light splits. Burner undamaged.
