PIERCED SHEET IRON AND BLOWN MOLDED PANEL WHALE OIL LANTERN, small ring strap handle, pierced top with stars and diamonds, base with stars pattern, conical-form eight-panel fixed colorless globe, removable base with bayonet mechanism and fitted with colorless glass font, No. 1 fine line collar. Fitted with a brass and tin double-tube burner. Mid 19th century. 11 3/4" HOA, 9 3/4" H to top of cap, 4" D base.

Good condition, moderate rust and pitting, globe with a small shallow chip to base ring, font undamaged. Burner with light rust.
