PETER GRAY & SONS COPPER STATION / SQUARE RAILROAD LANTERN, square form fitted with three colorless glass panes including one with a hinged frame, contoured cover with maker's plate marked "PETER GRAY & SONS MANUFACTURERS / BOSTON, MASS.", reverse with a mounting bracket, base with star-form vents, interior fitted with a nickel-plated reflector and brass circular font. Fitted with an E. Miller No. 3 duplex slip burner and non-period slip chimney. Early 20th century. 17 1/4" H to top of cover, 7 1/2" x 8 1/2".
Provenance: The Phillip M. Sullivan estate collection.
Excellent condition with some minute denting and expected wear, glass panes with minor to moderate wear, font with some interior repairs. Burner with some tarnish.
