Description
Scarce Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 79100, .45-70 caliber, 22-inch barrel with pedestal front and ladder type rear sights. Saddle ring. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer, frame, lever and buttplate. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Carbine butt. Condition: Good. Retaining slight traces of blue, primarily in the protected areas, the remainder with grey patina. Hammer retaining generous amounts of case-hardening, the frame, lever and buttplate with traces of silvered case-hardening mixed with grey patina. Wood with light wear and minor marks. Action tight and crisp. Bore bright with some wear in evidence.
