Title: Eleven bound volumes of 19th century American sheet music
Description: Collection of 11 randomly bound volumes of 19th Century American sheet music from various individual owners, primarily published in New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Cincinnatti., plus 1 album of early English music, undated but dates added in holograph ca. 1817-1827. Also includes approximately 50 loose pieces of 19th Century American music and another 60 pieces of early 20th Century which includes 15 0r 20 pieces of popular songs from the fifties. One notation in a Baltimore album says 133 pieces. Another album contains 45 pieces. So, we estimate there are approximately 500-600 total pieces. Scattered throughout are some very nice color lithographed covers from the 1860ís and 70ís. In the loose material there are some Dixie pieces and some nice graphically illustrated covers from the teens, as well as a handful of E.T. Paull color covers. The collection of Calvin P. Otto.
