Vaughn Bodé Cobalt 60 Page 1 Original Art (1968)
Vaughn Bodé Cobalt 60 Page 1 Original Art (1968). Underground Comix legend Vaughn Bodé made his first big splash with a ten-page post-apocalyptic science fiction saga called Cobalt 60. It's been said that Vaughn originally conceived the tale back in 1959 on a scrap of paper, and later expanded it for the fanzine Shaggy #73. In 1970, those pages were reprinted in Witzend #7. Here's the first page from the story, drawn in ink on paper that Bodé affixed to a piece of illustration board; he added his name and dated the page May, 1968 on the backside. The art image measures approximately 7.25" x 10". There are a couple of small stains in the last panel, and there is a fine layer of light wear on the page, which overall appears in Very Good condition.
