Pair of New York graphite on paper profile portraits of sisters, signed verso J.M. Crowley del 20 Downing St. N.Y. April 20, 1835, both with wonderful detail, each girl holding a book, in original gilt frames with reverse painted glass, 5'' x 4''. Provenance: Josephine Dawes, Hightstown, New Jersey.
Period frames. Very good condition. No apparent damages or repairs.
