Air Force SR-71 Pilot S1030 High Altitude Full Pressure Suit with Harness. Gold. This suit was developed by the David Clark Company for use by pilots during U-2 and SR-71 missions. It is very similar to those used by astronauts in the early Space Shuttle missions. We found two tags in the main suit. One, for the coverall (at the neck), reads "GN18002G-02EHC0/ Coverall, F/P High Altitude/ Size: Large Long/ P/O Model GNS1030 PPA". Another reads "GN22005G-02HABTO/ Anti-Block, Torso/ Size: Large/ Date of Mfg. Jul 1984". The tag on the Torso Harness reads: "GN18031G-2EHCUG/ Retainer Assy. w/Harn. & Flot./ Size: Extra Large Long/ P/O Model GNS1030PPA/ Date of Ovhl. Jun 1983/ GN18026G-02EHCUO/ Retainer Assy./ Size Extra Large Long/ Date of Mfr. Feb 1978/ Serial No. 024". Also included is an "Exterior Cover Assembly with Collar for Coveralls, High Altitude..." Rarely offered. Suit has some minor internal damage at the neck and signs of wear, overall about fine.
