A massive 3.5" x 3.75" overall-sized segment of heat shield sealed into a 6.5" x 8.25" plastic pouch with a 4.75" x 2.25" tag hand-marked: "SAMPLE S/C 8 Heat Shield". Rarely offered as such. Fine condition. From the collection George F. MacDougall, a NASA Gemini Project Control Manager and aeronautical engineer.
