Late Dynastic Period, Dynasty XXVI-XXX, 662-300 B.C. Carved in wood, the jackal depicted recumbent in an alert attitude of protection, its fore-legs extended, its hind-legs curled beneath, the long tail extended behind. Covered in incredible black and gold pigments (all original!) 5-1/2"L.
