Josef Albers (German/American, 1888-1976)

Two Images: DR-a and DR-b, 1968, editions of 100 plus proofs, published by Galerie Denise René, Paris (Danilowitz, 180 & 181). Both monogrammed and dated "JA'68" in pencil l.r., numbered and titled in pencil l.r., publisher's dry stamp l.l., and identified on a label from Graphics 1 and Graphics 2, Boston, on the backing. Color screenprints on paper, image sizes 23 1/2 x 23 5/8 in. (59.5 x 65.0 cm), shrink-wrapped.
Condition: Not examined out of wrap.

Condition: The screenprints were not removed from their shrink wrap. DR b (green/blue) is numbered "77/100" and has a small dent measuring 1/8 inch located at edge of blue band u.l. quadrant, 3 1/2 inches down from the top and 5 inches in from the left edge.

DR a (orange/red) is numbered "...5/100" (most likely 95/100, although the first digit is not completely clear and may be read as a 7), and has a small dog ear crease at l.l. corner.

Both images measure 23 5/8 x 23 5/8 inches and both sheets measure 26 3/4 x 26 3/4 inches.
