Francisco de Goya (Spanish, 1746-1828)
Two Plates from LOS CAPRICHOS: plate 8 Que se la llevaron! (Harris, 43 iii/iii); and plate 63 Miran que grabes! (Harris, 98 iii/iii), both from the tenth edition, printed 1918-1928. Both identified within the plate. Etchings with aquatint on laid paper with "...VARRO" and male profile watermarks, plate sizes 8 1/2 x 6 3/8 in. (21.5 x 16.2 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Margins over 1 3/4 inches with deckled edges, minor soiling, Llevaron with creasing (pressed creases to margins only).
N.B. Sold for the benefit of the collections of the Smith College Museum of Art.
