Unsigned, Parisian preparatory stencil on the reverse, portrait sketches in water
color and pencil on the reverse.
Oil on board, 13 3/4 x 10 5/8 in. (34.9 x 27.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Retouch, losses to corners, frame abrasions, surface grime.
Provenance: A Massachusetts estate.
Condition: There are two pencil and watercolor sketches of men's heads on the reverse, one more fully realized than the other. Artist's board with a stencil from G. Sennelier,Paris, on the reverse.
