Fourth quarter 19th century, the dial signed ''LeRoy / a Paris'', the movement unsigned, the circular white enamel dial with Roman numeral chapters and Arabic minute divisions within an arched case topped with a book, mounted beside a classically draped reclining woman holding a scroll inscribed ''Egypte / Grece / Italie'', mounted on a stepped bow-ended base, 19'' H x 27'' W x 9'' D, est:$2000/3000. Provenance: Private Collection, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

Condition

General rubbing, scratches and marks commensurate with age and use. Case possibly re-gilt. Scattered nicks and chips to slate molding of plinth. Clock lacking glass aperture. Movement appears complete. With associated key. Working condition of clock unknown. Moran's does not guarantee working condition of clocks and watches.
