Description

Mid 19th century, the movement signed ''Barwise / London'', the dial unsigned, the circular white enamel dial with Roman numeral chapters within a glazed circular bezel, within a cube-shaped marble case on a relief-decorated gilt bronze base beside a patinated bronze figure of a classical warrior, over a rectangular marble plinth, 22'' H x 16.5'' W x 8'' D, est:$1500/2500. Provenance: Private Collection, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

Condition

General light marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Minor nicks to marble plinth along edges. Lacking rear door of clock case. Lacking a decorative element that was originally mounted to top of case- not retained, small filled holes to top of case remain. A crack to rear of case extending its full width. Pendulum present. Retains key. Working condition unknown. Moran's does not guarantee working condition of clocks and watches.
