IRISH GEORGE IV STERLING COFFEE POT BY EDWARD POWER, DUBLIN, 1829-30, H 9":A sterling silver coffee pot with lobed body adorned with repousse flowers and leaves, a scroll handle with leaf and berry motif, raised on four paw feet. Hallmarks include Hibernia, harp crowned, king's profile, and date letter I, with maker's mark "EP" enclosed, and engraved crest of a bird. Weighs approximately 31.7 troy oz.
Two small spots of solder noted to the rim of the base, one below the spot and the other below the handle; the upper ivory heat resist at the handle is cracked, thus the handle is loose; several minor dings to the body from use. Chs
