FRENCH AUTOMATON SINGING BIRD IN CAGE, H 11", DIA 5 1/2":Gilt metal bird cage enclosing a single feathered bird which chirps and moves when lever is wound. Stamped "Made in France". From the Estate of Julie Cudlip Whitman, Grosse Pointe Farms.
There is a small loss to the paint at the top of the bird's head and some losses to the tail feathers. A few of the tail feathers are bent. It is in working order.
