Comments: Born and raised in Mexico City. Daughter of painter Shirley Chernitsky, she developed her painting skills in childhood while being also affected by other artists close to her family environment, like Jose Luis Cuevas, Carlos Nakatani, and Lucinda Urrusti, whose influence became decisive in her creations.Lizet studied at Boston University and got a BA in Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego. Her learning process went forward with print artists Bill Kelly-Brighton Press and Ron Pokrasso, and with Master Teodulo Romulo. Her work has been displayed in museums, cultural institutions and art galleries across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and both Western and Eastern Europe; also, she has been awarded several art prizes and has successfully participated in various auctions.Currently, she resides in San Diego, California. Her birth heritage has set roots for her North American experience, which fructifies in works that bring back a multi-cultural convergence, through a rich exchange of shape, texture and color.,
