This Bas Relief Bronze Sculpture measures 46 ½” H x 94 ¼” W and is titled, “The Heritage”. The bronze is inscribed on the bottom middle “The Heritage” and bottom right Eric Kaposta © 1980. The artist is Eric Kaposta (b. 1954). This well executed bronze casting depicts three cowboys in full western attire herding a large group of cattle across an oil field from left to right of the viewer. The background is three oil derricks in the distance. The detail on the cowboys and cattle is exceptional. The piece is finished in a dark brown patina. The piece is framed in a 4” rough cedar molding with dowelled corners finished in a dark brown stain. The bronze and frame are in excellent condition.
